Lynch
makes quick hitch switch with Hill Engineering
Leading
plant hire company L. Lynch Plant Hire is currently investing around £1.4m
in replacing the fully automatic hitches on its entire 500-strong excavator
fleet with industry-leading Auto-Loc 3 dual pin capture quick hitches
manufactured by Ireland-based
Hill
Engineering.
Lynch is holding a series of Quick Hitch Safety Road Shows to highlight the
benefits of its new Hill hitches and to address safe on-site working
practices - particularly when using different types of quick couplers.
Hill is also supporting Lynch in the road shows to explain how the advanced
technology in its fully automatic Auto-Loc 3 model works, by not only doing
away with the need to manually insert a locking pin, as with semi-automatic
hitches, but also providing fully independent dual pin locking.

Get equipped for the
year!
The arrival of the Hitachi Zaxis zero-tail mini excavator began in 2005 with the introduction of the ZX30U-2 followed by the launch of the ZX10U-2, ZX17U-2, ZX22U-2, ZX27U-2, ZX30U-2, ZX50U-2 and ZX60USB-3.
These compact machines combine the best of both product lines in performance and accessibility in one versatile package, and have proved a hugely popular extension to the range, providing an excellent alternative option in restricted working conditions.
The series has been fitted with powerful, yet economical and durable engines to maximise fuel efficiency. The new engines have been fitted with larger exhaust capacities to meet the latest emission regulations and noise suppression and ROPS/FOPS standards.
Each model has been designed with stability, durability, ease of maintenance and operator comfort in mind.

Excavator Guidance Goes Wireless
Scanlaser's MR360R is a popular excavator guidance solution; offering precision and flexibility at an extremely affordable price.
The MR360R comprises of a laser receiver which mounts magnetically to the excavator arm and a wireless in-cab display. A level is set on site with a standard rotating laser and the MR360R works from this level. The remote in-cab display presents the driver with visual feedback based on the excavator's arm position in relation to the laser level, providing accurate depth guidance.
Combined with a grade laser the MR360R system allows precision slope guidance too! Scanlaser's MR360R removes the need for staking and grade checking, reducing the need for banksmen in the excavation area. It also removes guesswork from earthworks, ensuring you can be confident the grade and depth of excavation is right - first time!
