Issue 18 28 October 2009

This week's Plant Product Focus homes in on excavator guidance, featuring the XC2 system from Scanlaser. Click on the image or logo for more information.

XC2 - Europe's Most Popular Excavator Guidance System

The XC2 sets new standards for excavator guidance with its simple user interface and unrivalled accuracy.

The XC2 comprises of three sensors which allow the exact position of the bucket teeth to be calculated. This simple concept allows machine operators to see the position of the excavator arm and bucket on an in-cab display.

Simple 'cuts' can be entered into the display and can be achieved quickly and precisely with guidance from the XC2 system. More complex single or dual grades can also be achieved.

The XC2 can provide the following benefits:
- Reduce Fuel Consumption
- Improve Quality and Accuracy of Earthworks
- Eliminate Over-Digging
- Reduce Material Wastage
- Reduce the need for Stakes and Batter Rails
