Issue 10 1st September 2009

Though traditionally a heavy earthmoving machine, articulated dump trucks (ADT) are used at some time in almost every sector of the construction business, from civil engineering and earthmoving, to road construction. The ADT is also continuing to play a leading role in many plant fleets around the country.

Bell ADTs: Real efficiencies, real cost savings

Bell Equipment’s advanced Fleetm@tic fleet management system is providing ADT operators with a much-needed advantage now that site efficiencies are more important than ever.

Fleetm@tic is a satellite-based system that can deliver almost real-time spreadsheet data to ADT owners.

While the Fleetm@tic Lite version is fitted as standard on all Bell ADTs, operators can upgrade to the Standard or Max versions, the only fleet management packages in the world capable of linking machine performance and actual tonnage moved.

Bell ADTs, which range from the versatile 25-tonne B25D to the flagship B50D, the world’s largest production ADT, also lead the field in terms of superior fuel efficiency, making them an even more attractive option in the current economic climate.
